Connect with nature by touring the Setau Sagèth
Crossing the mining territory towards the great lakes, an inspiring and healing journey through the history of the Val d’Aran, its valleys and villages.
With the help of local hosts, we will cross three mountain hills, full of history and traditions. The Coll de Guerra, a true paradise of primary forest, hanging valleys and deep gorges, with the Liat Lakes in the area called the “mining territory” of the Val d’Aran, due to the old mines that were throughout the area. The Port of Rius, an old transhumance route and area where the largest lakes in Aran such as Estany Mar and Rius are located, is where the herds from Aragon passed through to the Aranese pastures of Colomers and Restanca.
The Port of Vielha, used for centuries by the inhabitants of the valleys as communication and transport of goods. The Seatu Sagèth is the return to the Val d’Aran in a 5-stage route, in which we will learn about everything most relevant to the nature, culture and heritage of this valley. We look forward to seeing you!
