Christmas is getting closer, and thus to give the starting signal for the upcoming holiday season, Arties and Vielha celebrate the start of this holiday season with the traditional lighting of street lighting.
On December 6, Arties turn the power of light with Christmas decorations at 17:30 in the Plaça Ortau. There shall be lighting the Christmas tree sponsored by Veuve Clicquot champagne and a toast will provide attendees. Also, from 6 to 8 December, will be the flea market of winter sports equipment (boots, skis, backpacks, etc.) in the village hall.
Vielha also perform the traditional lighting of the Christmas decorations at a ceremony to be held at 20:00 in the Plaça d’Era Querimònia with cornetto lighting was installed for the first time during the past holiday season.
Likewise, this act will serve for tourist establishments in the Val d’Aran join, turning on the Christmas lights in its premises, taking advantage of the presence of tourists during the long weekend of December.
