It is the last village in Naut Aran; further on, there is the urban nucleus of Baqueira. It is the door to one of the entries to the Aranese side of the Aigüestortes and Estany de Sant Maurici National Park towards the glacial Cirque of Colomers. The road goes up the Aiguamòg valley until reaching ‘Baños de Tredòs’, the famous hotel and thermal baths whose sulphurous waters were used by the Romans due to their therapeutic properties . The parrochial church of Santa Maria del Cap de Tredòs holds in its exterior some features of the Lombard Romanesque architecture, except for the roof; it disappeared in a collapse and was replaced by the current one with its unique two sided wooden structure.
