Transport service to Beret
A new regular transport service to Beret starts on Saturday 23rd December.
Starting at the stop located at Alcalde Barra (cinema) de Vielha Avenue, this service will take place at 7:45 am and 10:00 am. Departure from Beret will take place at 13:15 and 14:30. The price of the trip is 2,10€.
The service will run every day from 23 December to 7 January, except on 25 December and 1 January and during all weekends and public holidays until the end of the ski season.

The Escuela de equitación de la Val d’Aran offers all kinds of activities for horse lovers.

Lums e +, art exhibition with lighting in Arties
Lums e +, de Madera, Papel o Tijera, opens today in the exhibition hall of the church of Sant Joan d’Arties, where it will remain until April 1

ill inaugurate at 19h this afternoon the exhibition Lums e +, from the creators of Madera, Papel o Tijera, Amaya Echazarra and Inma Llauradó.The exhibition, which gathers its creations made with lighting, can be visited from Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Amaya Echazarra e Inma Llauradó are two local artists residing in Arties. They realize works of art with lighting and lamps for all types of spaces through their project Madera, Papel o Tijera. “Lums e +, are lamps made by us in an artisan way with recycled paper and wood collected here in the valley. We always illuminate with natural ecological light or LED“, says Amaya Echazarra.
Lums e +with the Taro of Arties
The exhibition is divided into two spaces. “On one side we have placed special pieces,” describes the artist, “and on the other, objects and lamps for decorative use in houses. In addition, we have destined a side to a monographic area on the Taro of Arties “. Each of the exhibits has its reference, for those who are interested in purchasing a piece.
Amaya and Inma are especially enthusiastic about this project. “We are very excited to bring the exhibition Lums e + to Arties. First of all for the space, since the church of Sant Joan is a very special place. And secondly for being in our town, with our people. “
Madera Papel o Tijera also has a permanent exhibition in the restaurant Biniarán of Arties where all the lamps of the restaurant have been created by these aranesas artists. In addition, they have realized exhibitions in other locations like Barcelona, Ibiza or San Sebastián. Its lamps, unique pieces of ecodesign, are distributed all over the world.
Marxa Beret 2017, esquí de fondo popular y competitivo en la Val d’Aran
El fin de semana del 4 y 5 de febrero la estación de esquí de la Val d’Aran, Baqueira Beret, acogerá la 38ª edición de la Marxa Beret. La popular carrera de esquí de fondo es la más multitudinaria de nuestro país.
La Marxa Beret reúne ya a más de 1.000 participantes en cada edición. Esta prueba forma parte del Circuito de Carreras Populares de la Federación Internacional de Esquí (FIS) y de la Copa de España Real Federación Española Deportes de Invierno (RFEDI).
Organizada por el Conselh Generau d’Aran, Baqueira Beret y el ayuntamiento de Naut Aran, la Marxa Beret se disputa en el Pla de Beret, en las distancias de 10, 21 y 42 kilómetros. La prueba sigue en el calendario del Circuito de Carreras Populares de esquí de fondo (categoría ML) de la FIS. Además, por primera vez ha entrado a formar parte de la Copa España del calendario de la Real Federación Española Deportes de Invierno (RFEDI).
Cuenta además con la colaboración de la Associacion Volentaris Val d’Aran, Foment Torisme Val d’Aran, Diputació de Lleida, Ayuntamiento de Vielha e Mijaran, Pompièrs d’Aran, Aran Salut, Mossos d’Esquadra, INS d’Aran, además de la RFEDI, la Federació Catalana d’Esports d’Hivern (FCEH) y los distintos patrocinadores.

Este año, las inscripciones de la Marxa Beret únicamente pueden formalizarse a través de la web o durante los días de la prueba en la Casa de Acogida. Los que se inscriban antes del 31 de enero participarán en el sorteo de dos esquíes Salomon.
Internacional y familiar
La pasada edición de la Marxa Beret congregó alrededor de 1200 fondistas, casi la mitad de los cuales procedentes de países nórdicos, Alemania, Austria, Holanda o Italia. Este impulso internacional permitió consolidar el evento entre deportistas de alto nivel pero también entre familias que ya esperan esta fiesta del esquí de fondo.
