They will be joined by the exclusive list of Okra Sake chosen by Izaskun Escribano, who will elevate the experience by showing the world that this Japanese drink marries perfectly with the ingredients of our land.

Max Levy’s connection with the Val d’Aran begins in 2013, when he was guest chef at Era Mongetada. Since then he has become a fervent admirer of the valley and the local products of this land with which he has experimented with his own culinary technique that has given him a truly unique vision of sushi.

Located in Garòs (Naut Aran) and run by the Sanllehy Caubet family, Eth Restilé combines the best of Aranese culinary tradition with raw materials of the highest quality. Most of them are produced in our own factory, following the precepts of proximity, tradition, quality and modernity.

Peades dera Aigua (PDA) has exhausted its 1,000 bibs available over 5 months to celebrate the first edition of Val d’Aran by UTMB®, which will be held between 3 and 5 July 2020. The short event, which awards 9 Running Stones to its finishers, has seduced by its 55km of mountain, its start at a higher altitude than the finish and its route through the Naut Aran mountains.

After the UTMB® draw held just a few days ago, the other two distances of the event, Torn dera Val d’Aran and Camins de Hèr, already have more than 70% of participants. The first gives 18 Running Stones, giving direct access to UTMB®, CCC®, TDS® or OCC® and the second provides the ticket for CCC®, TDS® or OCC®. Registration is still open and can be done through the website www.aranbyutmb.com until June 1, 2020 or until all available places are sold out.

The event is part of the new international trail running circuit born from the recently signed partnership between UTMB® and Ultra-Trail® World Tour. As with all other “by UTMB®” events, the finishers of Val d’Aran by UTMB® will be able, from the first edition of the event, to collect the Running Stones, the corresponding ITRA points and obtain a direct registration for the UTMB® Mont-Blanc race of their choice without having to go through the draw.

Jordi Gamito joins the family of Val d’Aran by UTMB® becoming the ambassador of the event. On the other hand, Polar, a reference in sports technology and leader in heart rate monitoring, also joins the event as an Official Sponsor, and Arch Max, a company specializing in sports accessories, has become the new Official Supplier of the event.

Registration for the 41st Marxa Beret, to be held on 1 and 2 February at Baqueira Beret, continues apace. Those who register through the event’s official website before 15 January will benefit from significant discounts.

However, those who arrive late will still be able to do so online until 30 January, and in person on 1 February at the Salardú Welcome Centre. After the last snowfalls, the long-distance circuit where the 41st Marxa Beret will take place is in perfect condition.

The events

The Marxa Beret is one of the most consolidated Nordic ski races in Spain, with more than 1,000 participants from all over Europe every year. This popular march has become the Nordic ski festival.

Online registration is now officially open and must be done through the Marxa Beret website until 31 January. Face-to-face registration will take place at the Shelter House in Salardú on 1 February. It should be remembered that the registration fee will increase as the date of the event approaches.
