In the Val d’Aran and in these Pyrenees lands the use of the river flow was used during many centuries as an energy source. The motor power of the water moved the mills to mill the grain, the sawmills to work the wood and the wool milling factories.
With the restoration of the mill of Salardú we have the opportunity to see the operation the hydraulic mechanism that moved the original mill. Within the mill the visitor will enjoy with all of their senses the process of elaborating wheat into flour.
