The itinerant exhibition of LimnoPirineus reaches the Val d'Aran

From 1 March to 17 April the Palau de Geu of Vielha in the Val d’Aran hosts the traveling exhibition “Natura e Conservacion de zònes umides dels Pirineus”.

LimnopirineusIt consists of various panels that describe the different actions that are carried out through the LimnoPirineus project in the park Aigüestores and estany de Sant Maurici, the Alt Pirineu natural park and the lac of Vilac in the Val d’Aran .
These actions include restoration of ponds, repopulation of the red frog, improvement of the populations of cavilat, improvement of the river flow, restoration and improvement of the quality of the molleras, improvement of the sources and elaboration of plans of conservation of the species.
The objective of LimnoPirineus is to ensure the conservation of aquatic species and aquatic habitats of high mountains of European interest in the Pyrenees. The project is co-financed by the European LIFE + program which promotes actions for the conservation and recovery of habitats and species of flora and fauna in the protected areas of the European Union, integrated in the Natura 2000 Network.
